Consultants are sought to design and implement a youth pilot program aimed at increasing engagement of African American, urban, and other minority youth in Alabama with the diverse career opportunities available in the commercial construction industry.
The scope of work includes conducting a discovery phase to identify perceptions, motivations, and barriers among minority youth regarding construction careers. The selected consultants will review and leverage existing agency messaging, digital resources, and partnerships, and will develop a comprehensive Pilot Program Strategy Document outlining program goals, audience insights, engagement strategies, and measurable outcomes.
Key tasks involve identifying communities, schools, and organizations for program implementation and developing a distinct campaign identity that remains aligned with the agency’s brand but is tailored to the target audience. Consultants are expected to create culturally resonant messaging and visuals that emphasize pride and opportunity within the construction sector, and to recommend innovative outreach channels—such as youth ambassadors, digital storytelling, and live events—to effectively reach and inspire participants.
