The selected vendor will provide comprehensive workers' compensation bill review, pharmacy benefits, and physical therapy services for the county’s workers’ compensation program in Arizona. The scope includes conducting effective and efficient medical bill review and check writing services for all medical services linked to accepted industrial injuries, ensuring that payments are accurately processed, and duplicate, excessive, or ineligible charges are rejected or reduced. The vendor will be required to present detailed accounting for all savings, duplicate bills, prescription charges, and physical therapy charges with each invoice.
Additionally, the vendor will act as a pharmacy benefit manager (PBM), facilitating prescription benefit management services through a network of pharmacies for county employees. Check writing services must include IRS form 1099 filing, associated follow-up, bank reconciliation, and handling bank fees related to such transactions. Integration with the Origami Risk Database, a web-based risk management software, is necessary for data exchanges and report generation. The contract is intended to last for a two-year period.
