DESCRIPTION

A vendor is sought to provide actuarial consulting services to the advisory council on workers’ compensation. The contractor will assist with the review and evaluation of the National Council on Compensation Insurance, Inc.’s annual filing regarding prospective loss cost and rating values for the voluntary workers’ compensation insurance market, including the evaluation of all subsequent annual filings during the contract term.

The responsibilities include assessing the scope and quality of the data used in annual loss cost filings, identifying any sources of bias, analyzing case counts, claim values, data coverage, and noting any exclusions from insurance company submissions. Additionally, the contractor must address and separately review both direct loss costs and loss adjusting expenses in all analyses and generated written reports.

The contractor will also be expected to provide additional actuarial services, produce ad hoc reports, and deliver oral presentations as needed by the Council. The contract will span five years, with opportunities for questions and a scheduled pre-bid meeting prior to the submission deadline.
