The agency is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive website operations and maintenance services, as well as website design, development, and enhancement using Drupal. The web program establishes agency-wide web standards, supports website operations, and guides best practices for web security. Vendors must have completed at least three website development projects in the past five years, with a minimum of two projects utilizing the Drupal Content Management System.
Key requirements include experience in application development and management of open-source or proprietary CMSs, implementation of design templates and frameworks, and administration practices such as version control, configuration management, testing, updates, and backup monitoring. Familiarity with systems engineering documents required by the Federal Highway Administration is preferred.
Desired personnel include a Project Manager with experience in website maintenance and qualified Front-End and Back-End Developers. Experience in Drupal website administration, server and database administration, and security management are essential. The ability to deliver responsive, scalable sites optimized for all devices and expertise with graphic design and brand management are also sought.
