Maryland is seeking a qualified vendor to redesign its transit website utilizing the WordPress content management system. The objective is to create a robust, user-friendly, and transit-focused platform that enhances the experience for all visitors. Key goals include delivering a fast-loading, modern website with a mobile-first approach for Android and iOS users, while preserving accessibility compliance and the existing color scheme of black, red, and yellow.

The project scope covers comprehensive website redesign, development, and implementation. Features required include improved site navigation, social media integration (with Twitter/X and potentially Facebook), and a public feedback portal with efficient routing to the appropriate authority inboxes. Additional functionality involves real-time service alerts for disruptions and detours, an event calendar, bus tracking integration via Swiftly API or the current provider, a trip planner using open resources like Google Maps or GTFS, an interactive system map, and clear access to GTFS or GIS data as applicable.

The contract period will be for three years.
