Ireland is seeking a qualified vendor to provide website development, support, hosting, and maintenance services for its portfolio of websites, which primarily use WordPress and include one Drupal-based site. The selected vendor will be responsible for the ongoing development of existing sites, migration of websites from other CMS platforms to WordPress as needed, and comprehensive management of both on-premise and cloud-hosted environments.
The hosting infrastructure currently includes a virtualized environment with clustered firewalls and web application firewalls, as well as virtual Linux web servers utilizing Apache, PHP, and WordPress. The department's websites are configured to use Google Analytics and Acquia for traffic analysis and reporting, and some sites leverage PHP Elastic Search for enhanced search capabilities. At present, one website is hosted on AWS with specified resources.
The vendor must ensure smooth operation, robust security, and reliable performance for all sites under the department’s remit. The contract will be awarded for a period of five years, and interested vendors must submit any questions by November 26, 2025.
