Organization overview and procurement intelligence available on paid plans.
The project calls for comprehensive services to plan, design, develop, migrate, test, and launch a new public-facing website using a content management system (CMS). The scope includes discovery and strategy sessions such as stakeholder workshops, creation of audience personas, content audit, information architecture, analytics setup, and a thorough accessibility gap analysis with remediation planning.
UX/UI design will focus on mobile-first, responsive layouts, highly accessible components, well-organized venue pages, event listings, maps, parking information, forms, policies, and wayfinding. The technical architecture will include CMS recommendation or implementation (WordPress, Drupal, or equivalent) prioritizing security, maintainability, role-based governance, and comprehensive audit logging. Integrations with ticketing, calendars, CRM/newsletters, payments, maps, and a document library are required. Security features include HTTPS, secure authentication, regular patching, OWASP-aligned controls, and monitoring logs. Accessibility must align to WCAG 2.1 AA standards across all templates and components, including alt text, captions, keyboard navigation, color/contrast, error handling, and testing with screen readers such as NVDA and VoiceOver.
Content migration includes structured processes, metadata preservation, URL redirects, maintaining link integrity, and ensuring all documents are accessible per state requirements. Hosting and DevOps considerations call for managed hosting (either recommended or provided by vendor), uptime SLA, automated backups, disaster recovery, strong performance, and well-structured development/staging/production environments. The vendor will also provide training and knowledge transfer for administrators and editors on accessibility practices, workflow SOPs, and supporting guides. Post-launch support includes a warranty period, ongoing patching and incident response, minor enhancements, regular accessibility monitoring, and analytics reporting.
