Vendor needs to provide water system upgrade service to the government authority located in Carson, NV. Agency is seeking bids/proposals from qualified contractors to upgrade the agency domestic water system by re–piping restroom hot water lines, installing balancing valves and an expansion tank, replacing recirculation components and shower valves, and performing testing and coordination to ensure code compliance and proper system performance. Re–pipe the portion of the domestic hot water system serving the restrooms to increase pipe sizing, allowing domestic hot water to properly serve the showers instead of the tempered water system. Install balancing valves on the domestic hot water recirculation circuits to ensure proper system performance and temperature control. Furnish and install a domestic hot water expansion tank to reduce piping stress and comply with current code requirements. Replace the existing strainer and check valve on the domestic hot water recirculation piping within the custodial closet. Replace existing shower cartridges/valves to properly regulate shower supply temperature and reduce pressure drop caused by calcium build–up from hard water. Selectively demolish the wall beneath the women’s restroom sink to expose the vent piping; evaluate the condition of the vent piping, seals, and connections; and repair or replace any damaged or deficient components as required to ensure all sewer gases are contained within the piping system and not released into the building. Perform all required build–back work, including replacement of removed or damaged tile, hard lid ceilings, drywall, wall finishes, and fixtures, to restore all affected areas to original or better condition upon completion of plumbing work. Provide complete as–built drawings that accurately reflect all work performed, piping modifications, and equipment installed as part of this scope. The contract period will be for one year.
