The Department of Energy’s Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) is seeking input from small businesses regarding their capabilities to provide construction services under a potential Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC). The focus of this opportunity is on general facilities construction, renovation, repair, alteration, demolition, and remediation services across various locations in Arizona, California, and Nevada within the Desert Southwest and Sierra Nevada regions.
Facilities covered by this contract may include operational support buildings, site utilities, microwave sites, communication towers, substations, warehouses, real property, and commercial buildings. The scope of work encompasses a wide range of trades, such as plumbing, HVAC, painting, electrical, masonry, carpentry, flooring, roofing, concrete work, excavation, demolition, fire alarm and suppression systems, hazardous material removal, operation of construction equipment, sewer, and other specialty and general construction services.
All contractors will be required to provide necessary resources, materials, equipment, and labor to complete assigned tasks, while adhering to site-specific as well as local, state, and federal regulations. The gathered information will assist WAPA in developing an optimal acquisition strategy for future projects.
