DESCRIPTION

The procuring institution seeks one complete visible and near-infrared lens measurement and optical metrology system for its Laser Technology Program. The system will support industry-standard optical measurement, curriculum requirements, laboratory instruction, and hands-on workforce training.

The selected supplier must furnish, deliver, install, configure, calibrate or verify, test, provide training, and place the system into operation. Required capabilities include infinite-conjugate testing of visible and NIR lenses with a clear aperture of at least 50 mm; on-axis and off-axis modulation transfer function measurement; effective focal length; back or flange focal length, as applicable; f-number, distortion, field curvature, astigmatism, chief ray angle, and encircled or ensquared energy measurement or an acceptable equivalent image-quality metric.

The system must provide an interactive measurement display, configurable and repeatable measurement routines, automated sequences where supported, and the ability to display, save, recall, analyze, and export results in commonly used non-proprietary formats. Software requirements include an instructional graphical user interface, storage and recall of test routines and settings, automated or guided measurement workflows, report generation, and export to XLSX, CSV, PDF, HTML, or another accessible format, including at least one spreadsheet-compatible format. All software, drivers, and base licenses required for the mandatory capabilities must be included. Perpetual licensing is preferred, and any subscription, renewal, cloud account, internet dependency, or feature expiration must be disclosed and priced. The system must be safe for use by trained faculty and students in a college instructional laboratory. Questions are due by September 16, 2026.
