A health education institution in British Columbia is seeking a vendor to supply a virtual anatomy and cadaver dissection table system designed to enhance instruction and skill development in nursing and allied health programs. This system will play a key role in expanding training capacity, strengthening simulation-based education, and improving student readiness for clinical practice.
The required system must utilize real-human volumetric data, such as cadaver scans or clinical imaging, and feature a minimum of four diverse cadavers. The table should be life-sized (minimum 80 inches) and capable of both horizontal and vertical orientation, equipped with caster wheels for portability. Essential functionalities include multi-plane virtual dissection with undo capability, tissue isolation and filtering, a comprehensive library of at least 200 real patient cases, and the option to import additional imaging. High-resolution rendering and interactive 3D manipulation across all body systems must be supported, with compatibility for clinical and radiological educational use. The system and its software must comply with Canadian electrical and safety standards (CSA or equivalent) and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA).
