The project seeks a comprehensive vehicle tracking and telematics solution designed for fleet vehicles, snowplows, and other mobile assets. The system must provide remote data collection, diagnostics, and operational intelligence, including automatic odometer readings, fuel efficiency and MPG tracking, and energy usage reporting for electric vehicles.

The solution should feature engine diagnostic alerts, maintenance notifications, and thorough vehicle utilization reporting to identify asset usage patterns. Additional requirements include after-hours reporting, idle time tracking with alerts, on-demand and scheduled fleet listings, remote emissions certification, and real-time vehicle location and breadcrumb history. The system must also support speed monitoring with configurable alerts, stolen vehicle recovery, geo-fencing capabilities, and live snow plow operation tracking.

Installation must include tamper and disconnect alerts, a rechargeable battery, and a browser-based interface that requires no plugins. Dashboards should be configurable by user role, and custom asset groups can be created for reporting and permissions management. Data retrieval must occur every two minutes or less, and robust alerting and integration capabilities are expected.
