(1) Vendor needs to provide urban wilds strategic plan service. The selected team will develop a structured and actionable plan for the strategic and sustainable growth of the Urban Wilds Program, including best practices for program and resource management, staffing and budget structures, land acquisition and restoration processes, and branding and program awareness. The selected team will be expected to spend time in Boston conducting site visits and in person community outreach. Required Tasks and Deliverables: The consultant team will conduct background research to sufficiently familiarize themselves with the Urban Wilds Program and other agency planning efforts. The consultant team will work with agency staff to refine the vision, goals, and opportunities of the Urban Wilds Program. Benchmark agency’s Urban Wilds Program to Other Communities. The consultant team will work with agency staff to develop a public engagement process that assesses needs, community challenges and opportunities, and appropriate levels of service for the program in order to shape the Strategic Plan and build awareness of the Urban Wilds Program. The consultant shall gather all of the feedback and analysis and work with agency staff to prepare a draft Plan which will present an overarching fifteen-year vision for the Urban Wilds Program to guide decision-making and a five-year roadmap for internal changes and investments. (2) All the questions must be submitted no later than December 9, 2025. (3) The contract period will be for two years.
