This role applies market research, empirical tools, and planning expertise to inform development decisions, support public– and private–sector stakeholders, and advance the long–term economic vitality of the downtown district. Responsibilities include analyzing proposed development projects, zoning changes, and land use policy initiatives, and preparing written recommendations for senior leadership; leading market research and empirical analysis using tools such as CoStar, Placer.ai, and publicly available data to assess market conditions, consumer behavior, and development trends; supporting strategic planning efforts related to downtown growth, land use, and economic development; cultivating strong relationships with property owners, business owners, residents, city agencies, and community groups; and serving as an enthusiastic advocate and spokesperson for the organization and district at public meetings, community gatherings, and with the media.
