The state of Oregon is seeking a vendor to provide a hosted transportation operations management solution aimed at improving the routing, planning, and fleet oversight of school transportation services. The agency requires a modern, integrated system that will streamline and centralize currently fragmented processes such as routing, dispatch, communication, and real-time tracking. This platform should be user-friendly and accessible to administrators, dispatch staff, school staff, and parents.
The selected vendor will be responsible for supporting the transition from the department’s existing system suite and Verizon Reveal GPS system, while delivering scalable tools, comprehensive training, and responsive ongoing customer service. The system must be hosted by the provider and include access to updates, new versions, and timely security patches—preferably applied during non-business hours except in emergencies.
Key technical requirements include integration with Google Workspace Domain or Active Directory for authentication and user permissions, automated and manual data imports from existing solutions and the Synergy student information system, the ability to handle GIS shape files (such as ArcGIS .shp), support for additional spatial data, and multiple data export options (PDF, CSV, text, and print). Additionally, a web portal for school staff to access up-to-date transportation information, including bus stops, locations, and trip details, is required.
