The City of Santa Monica is seeking a vendor to provide transit ridership software to support National Transit Database (NTD) reporting requirements for its Big Blue Bus fleet. The desired solution will collect, process, and report ridership data captured by Automatic Passenger Counters (APCs), ensuring efficient and accurate compliance with NTD standards in California.

The selected software must offer robust capabilities, including accurate processing of APC data for agency reporting and supporting the agency’s ongoing approval and use of such data. Comprehensive documentation of methodologies is required, along with user-friendly and maintainable reporting tools for service planning. Integration with the Big Blue Bus's current scheduling and AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) systems is essential. The contract for these services will span three years.

Vendors should demonstrate experience in developing and implementing transit data systems and must provide a solution that is reliable, well-documented, and fully compatible with the City’s operational environment.
