The State of Arkansas is seeking a qualified vendor to design, implement, and support a comprehensive, branded Transit Fare Collection and Trip Planning System. This modern solution aims to streamline passenger fare payments, improve operational efficiency, and ensure seamless integration with the transit agency’s existing systems. The system will provide passengers with a user-friendly, unified platform for trip planning, digital fare payments, and account management, reflecting the agency’s distinctive branding across all digital and physical fare media.
Key features include multiple fare collection and payment options such as contactless tap-to-pay, mobile app payment, reloadable smart cards, and paper passes, along with capabilities like fare capping, account management, and offline functionality. The integrated trip planning tool will deliver real-time route information, bus arrival predictions, and navigation support, with compatibility for fixed route and paratransit data. System interfaces and fare media must follow agency branding guidelines, ensuring consistency and public recognition across custom mobile applications, cards, and kiosks.
The platform should allow the agency to configure fare structures, discounts, passes, and manage special event fares or promotions. It must also provide detailed revenue and ridership analytics and support full compatibility with Routematch software for scheduling, dispatch, and reporting. Open APIs and standardized data formats such as GTFS and GTFS-RT are required for system interoperability.
All vendor questions regarding this opportunity must be submitted by December 19, 2025.
