Traffic Monitoring Solution

The issuing agency is seeking a vendor to provide a fully integrated, pole-mounted, radar-based traffic monitoring solution for non-intrusive individual vehicle detection and logging. The system must operate without external equipment cabinets or solar panels and must automatically capture and transmit individual vehicle data, including speed, lane, timestamps, and classification, to a cloud server.

The solution must support local data storage with automatic backfill to the cloud when communications are restored, and include built-in 4G or 5G cellular connectivity for remote access. Required hardware and configuration features include an internal camera for alignment, electronic tilt and level sensing, Bluetooth and Ethernet capability for local setup, and automated lane configuration functionality to streamline field installation.

The cloud-hosted dashboard must display device locations on a map using radar-generated GPS coordinates and provide access to operational status, average speed, speed alerts, and current camera snapshots. The system must also support alerts for offline devices, low battery, tilt or level changes, configuration errors, communication outages exceeding a user-defined timeout, and reporting on the history of configuration changes. The contract term is five years. A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for August 10, 2026, and questions are due by August 19, 2026.
