The government authority in Arizona is seeking a qualified vendor to provide on-call traffic engineering services to support public works, transportation planning, and infrastructure initiatives. The scope of work includes a variety of traffic operations tasks such as conducting traffic operations analysis, safety evaluations, traffic data collection, and preparation of technical studies and design plans.

Specific services may involve traffic signal warrant studies in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, crash analysis for identifying and addressing high-risk locations, and evaluations of school zones with recommendations for enhanced safety and compliance. The vendor will also be responsible for intersection evaluations, including assessing turn lane requirements, capacity analysis, and determining optimal control types. The preparation of signing and pavement marking plans in compliance with regulatory standards is required, as is the evaluation of traffic calming measures and neighborhood traffic management strategies.

Additional responsibilities include performing traffic counts, turning movement counts, and other relevant data collection activities, as well as traffic flow modeling and prediction. The selected vendor will support these activities on an as-needed basis throughout the four-year contract period.
