Seeking a vendor to develop a comprehensive tourism strategic plan for Virginia, including asset inventory, benchmarking, branding updates, and stakeholder engagement.
(1) Vendor needs to provide tourism strategic plan service. – Conduct a comprehensive inventory of tourism assets, including but not limited to attractions, events, event space, lodging, cultural and heritage resources, natural amenities, wineries, breweries, restaurants and recreational opportunities. – Recommend updates to branding positioning, including logo, tagline, and messaging consistent with the tour brand guidelines. – Identify peer or competing destinations for benchmarking. – Provide a comparative analysis that identifies competitive advantages and weaknesses. – Project work plan and methodology. – Asset inventory and benchmarking analysis. – Visitor profile and trends report. – Stakeholder engagement summary. – SWOT and gap analysis report. – Draft tourism strategic plan. – Final polished, public–facing tourism strategic plan document. (2) All the questions must be submitted no later than December 22, 2025. (3) The contract period will be for one year.
