A vendor is sought to provide comprehensive tourism and marketing services for Virginia, specifically focused on promoting the County and the Highlands region as premier travel destinations. The selected vendor will be responsible for executing a range of marketing initiatives, including the management of tourism-related events, oversight of the visitor center, and delivery of administrative support services related to tourism promotion.

Key responsibilities include organizing and managing travel trade promotions such as sales missions, sales calls, destination seminars, and participation in trade shows. Additional duties encompass coordinating inbound trade familiarization tours, facilitating meeting and event services, and providing a variety of visitor services. The vendor will also develop and implement educational seminars and programs aimed at supporting both industry stakeholders and local residents. The contract period for these services is three years.
