The State of Vermont is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive marketing, communications, and media services in support of its tobacco control and chronic disease public health initiatives. The primary objectives are to promote behavior change, deliver effective public health messaging, encourage cessation of tobacco and alternative products, and prevent and reduce chronic diseases across the state.
The selected vendor will collaborate closely with the department’s information director and program staff to develop, implement, and measure strategic marketing and communication plans tailored to defined target audiences. This partnership will include identifying and leveraging opportunities for alignment across various programs and divisions to maximize the impact of messaging and media placements. Flexibility in staffing is required to address emergency public health communications or other urgent needs as they arise.
Marketing and public education efforts will utilize a combination of traditional media (such as television, radio, and print), social media and digital channels, cooperation with community partners, and participation in public events. All services aim to build long-term, strategic communications that effectively support the state’s health promotion and behavior change goals. The contract period is for one year.
