The vendor is required to provide comprehensive third-party administrator (TPA) search services for hearing aid and miners' medical assistance programs. Responsibilities include establishing a proven system for claims and prescription drug payments, designating an account executive, and serving as the TPA for the agency's miners medical assistance program, specifically for unpaid medical bills and prescription drugs.
The selected vendor must implement procedures to manage miner identification and eligibility, authorize unpaid medical bills, prescription drugs, and hearing aids as appropriate medical care for statutorily defined conditions, and promptly process payments from board-provided funds. Additionally, the vendor must ensure miners have immediate access to individual files to monitor benefit usage and balances, provide registered miners with identification cards containing contact and claims processing information, assist miners in accessing program benefits for hearing aids and unpaid bills or prescriptions related to cardiac, pulmonary, hearing loss, or musculoskeletal conditions, and submit detailed and timely billing documentation.
All vendor questions regarding the scope must be submitted no later than March 12, 2026.
