A county in Tennessee seeks a qualified vendor to provide third party claims administrator (TPA) services in support of its self-insured on-the-job injury program. The selected TPA will be responsible for establishing a service team to process and pay on-the-job injury claims received by the county’s Risk Management department.
The TPA will also be required to deliver and support an on-the-job injury reporting system that interfaces with the claim system and complies with OSHA reporting standards. The vendor must work closely with Risk Management to transfer any historical claim data from current provider systems to the new platform. The proposed information system should offer online access for county stakeholders, provide statistical reporting capabilities, and allow generation of customized reports for individual or grouped claims showing key data such as reserved and paid amounts. The partnership is expected to last for four years.
