The State of Nevada is seeking a vendor to provide sustainable transportation funding strategies services. The primary goal is to adapt funding systems to address the challenges brought on by a growing population, industrial expansion, and enhancements in vehicle fuel economy, all of which affect the state's ability to meet diverse transportation needs.
Key responsibilities include evaluating the needs of all transportation system users, ensuring the long-term sustainability of state transportation funding (such as the State Highway Fund), and enhancing the state's ability to efficiently collect, manage, and distribute funds across various transportation system requirements. Specific tasks may involve developing and implementing education and outreach strategies for the public, agencies, and elected officials; conducting comparative analyses of transportation funding approaches in other states; performing taxation analysis; analyzing collection strategies and frameworks for distributing transportation funds; and assisting with legislative strategy, process development, and statutory language creation, including analysis of potential funding models.
All questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted no later than March 23, 2026.
Best-fit vendors:
• Demonstrated expertise in transportation funding strategies
• Experience with public sector outreach and legislative analysis
• Proven ability to conduct comparative and taxation analyses
• Track record in developing policy frameworks for state agencies
• Familiarity with Nevada's transportation system and funding mechanisms
