The client seeks vendors to provide structural geology software with capabilities for comprehensive data integration, forward and reverse cross-section modeling, and kinematic restoration and validation. The required software must support importing, scaling, and georeferencing 2-D cross-sections. It should offer forward and reverse modeling of fault motion, uplift, loading, erosion, unloading, sediment accumulation, and sediment loading.
Additionally, the software must allow users to assign different densities and physical properties for mantle and crustal rocks. It should be capable of creating, recording, and exporting large point clouds documenting all steps of geological processes such as fault motion, uplift, loading, erosion, unloading, sediment accumulation, and sediment loading throughout the model.
Best-fit vendors:
• Expertise in geological and geophysical software development
• Experience with 2-D cross-section modeling and georeferencing
• Capability to handle large-scale geological data processing and export
• Previous work with scientific or research institutions
• Ability to tailor software for advanced geotechnical applications
