Alberta is seeking an experienced vendor to provide strategic planning services that encompass strategic visioning, the integration of departmental planning, and the development of a robust communication and reporting framework. The selected consultant will be responsible for reviewing the existing strategic plan and creating a detailed project charter and workplan. A key component of the engagement involves designing a communication and reporting system to maintain the plan’s visibility, measurability, and active usage over the long term.

The consultant will also prepare a background summary that identifies critical themes, opportunities, and alignment gaps. Additionally, they will design and facilitate a strategic visioning workshop for council members and the senior management team to refine the organization’s short- and long-term direction and define desired community outcomes. The outcome will include a comprehensive strategic framework summarizing goals, outcomes, and corporate accountabilities. All final documents must be professionally formatted and visually engaging, utilizing infographics, charts, and layouts to clearly communicate objectives, performance measures, and connections across departments. The contract period for this engagement is one year.
