An institution of higher education is seeking a qualified vendor to provide strategic planning consulting services. The selected consultant will facilitate a comprehensive, collaborative process grounded in best practices and innovation, with an emphasis on campus-wide engagement, extensive environmental scanning, and data-driven objectives. The resulting Strategic Plan must prioritize futurist thinking and strong connections among students, faculty, staff, and community partners.

The consultant will work closely with the Core Team—including Executive Leadership, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness, the Accreditation Department, and a Strategic Planning Taskforce with Shared Governance Representation. Responsibilities include designing and facilitating workshops for key stakeholders, conducting focus groups to capture diverse perspectives (such as Student Voices, Employee Voices, and Community Engagement), and analyzing the findings to establish the foundational strategic priorities and thematic areas for the new plan.

Additionally, the consultant will be required to integrate data review findings to define appropriate benchmarks and achievable targets for all key performance indicators (KPIs), and to assist in articulating clear, measurable goals and objectives. The role also involves facilitating structured feedback sessions with leadership and hosting broad campus surveys to refine the initial draft plan. Further, the consultant will lead the development of detailed implementation strategies and establish a robust framework for ongoing assessment to ensure alignment with the institution’s mission.
