A Washington, DC-based organization is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive strategic communications and resource support system for transportation-related campaigns. The selected vendor will be responsible for establishing ongoing communication with campaigns, agencies, and advocates, offering regular guidance, information, and technical assistance as needed. Key functions include tracking transit elections and monitoring state and local transportation legislation, analyzing advocacy trends, developing case studies, and identifying educational opportunities.
The vendor will be expected to organize webinars, training sessions, and peer learning events, as well as support and advise in the planning of a biannual conference focused on transportation campaign strategies. Responsibilities also involve maintaining and updating a website that highlights campaign content and thought leadership, sustaining an election and campaign database, and curating a library of images, case studies, and toolkits for use by local leaders. In addition, the vendor will utilize polling and analytics for targeted campaigns, and create custom campaign guides and tools to support local and state transit initiatives.
This non-partisan resource center aims to equip community leaders with research materials, strategic insights, and direct support to drive success in public transportation initiatives and ballot measures. The successful proposal will outline a robust work program that enhances public transportation advocacy, counters misinformation, and expands capacity in campaign strategy support, while facilitating peer-to-peer collaboration and fostering a network of effective transportation advocates.
