The government authority of Warrenton, Virginia seeks a qualified vendor to provide on-call, as-needed professional engineering services for stormwater, wetlands, and MS4 compliance. The scope is divided into two main categories: Wetlands/Stormwater Engineering Services and Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Engineering Services.
For Wetlands and Stormwater Engineering Services, the selected consultant will evaluate potential wetlands and waters of the United States (WOTUS) using available data and aerial imagery to determine their extent and location on relevant properties. Required capabilities include proficiency in geographic information systems (GIS), experience with local environmental data, and the ability to delineate, survey, and secure US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) jurisdictional determinations of WOTUS boundaries. The consultant should also assess the presence of endangered or threatened species or habitat on properties.
For MS4 services, the vendor will support compliance with the six minimum control measures (MCMs) related to the municipal separate storm sewer system, as well as the Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Plan for pollutant reduction. Tasks may include system inspections, screenings, water quality testing, public educational outreach, and the development of related educational materials.
Interested vendors should note the requirement to submit all questions by January 14, 2026. This contract is ideal for engineering firms with demonstrated experience in environmental compliance and stormwater management services.
