The City in Connecticut is seeking a qualified lobbying firm to provide state government relations consulting and advocacy services. The ideal vendor will have experience serving municipalities or organizations of comparable size and needs, and possess a deep understanding of legislative committees, subcommittees, and leadership by topical area within the state.

Key responsibilities include maintaining effective verbal and written communications with the City's legislative delegation, state legislators, General Assembly members and their staff, as well as administrative personnel in various state departments and commissions. The selected firm will be expected to identify pertinent topics and areas of legislative or administrative activity, advocate for the City's positions, prepare correspondence and testimony, and facilitate meetings between City officials and legislators or staff. Additional duties will involve monitoring legislative developments and recommending strategic actions to help advance the City’s agenda.

Vendors should be able to demonstrate their qualifications to represent the City effectively and provide comprehensive documentation supporting their expertise.
