A government authority in Queen Creek, Arizona is seeking a vendor to provide sports officiating services for youth and adult sports programs. Covered sports may include youth basketball, youth volleyball, adult softball, adult basketball, and adult volleyball.
The selected vendor will serve as an independent contractor and will be responsible for providing the required number of officials for each game. Officials must arrive no later than ten minutes prior to game time, wear industry-standard professional umpire or referee uniforms, and provide their own necessary personal equipment, safety gear, and supplies to properly officiate each event.
The vendor must notify the Town at least three hours before game time if an official calls out and is solely responsible for arranging substitute officials in the event of a call-in or no-show. If an official arrives more than ten minutes after the game start time, the Town will be charged at half rate and the official must still work the remainder of the game. No charges will be permitted for any scheduled game in which the vendor's assigned officials fail to officiate.
