This RFI seeks qualified vendors to provide comprehensive software systems engineering support services. The scope includes software sustainment activities, systems and software engineering, integration, and development. Key responsibilities involve supporting Software Support Activities (SSAs), test and evaluation procedures, and all aspects of software and hardware integration for operational and laboratory systems. Vendors will be expected to engage in software systems engineering, handle software acquisition and configuration management, and support technology insertion for avionics, software, and air vehicle platforms.

The engagement encompasses integration of aircraft, mission, and support systems, including both hardware and software program generation. Vendors must provide support across all stages of operational systems development, which includes hardware, firmware, trade analysis, cost and financial tracking, comprehensive testing materials and reports, and operator/user documentation. Additional responsibilities include upgrading software due to hardware obsolescence, conducting non-recurring engineering and retrofit work, and ensuring smooth design, implementation, integration, and fielding of software upgrades. The vendor should also provide recommendations for hardware design and ensure all systems are evaluated for specification and performance compliance as well as their suitability for fleet introduction.
