SUMMARY

The government of British Columbia is seeking a senior developer architect to lead design and implementation of enterprise-grade solutions, including integration and custom platform development.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must have direct hands-on experience with OpenShift container platform and Docker-based delivery
Must have direct hands-on experience with .NET (version 8/10) and Angular application development
Must have direct hands-on experience with Java / Quarkus at production depth
Must have direct hands-on experience with custom Java extensibility (e.g., Keycloak SPIs or equivalent)
Must have direct hands-on experience with API management platforms (e.g., Red Hat 3scale or equivalent)
Must have direct hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Server 2020 (on-premises, classic pipelines)
Must be able to submit the proposal electronically
Must provide an independence and objectivity statement regarding conflicts of interest

DESCRIPTION

The government authority located in British Columbia seeks a vendor to provide senior developer architect services. The selected vendor will deliver senior-level solution architecture and hands-on development expertise to design, build, and implement enterprise-grade solutions supporting regulatory and operational systems. Responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of end-to-end solution architectures, maintaining ownership from initial architecture through to full implementation, and delivering production-ready code.

Vendors must collaborate across development and operations teams to ensure delivered systems are observable, supportable, and adhere to enterprise standards. Additional tasks involve designing and implementing services, APIs, and event-driven solutions for scalable integration between legacy and modern platforms, as well as developing integration and data pipelines, including REST/SOAP services and Kafka-based streaming.
