The government authority in Homestead, Florida seeks a vendor to furnish, configure, and commission a Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) ICON integrated communications optical network system. This project aims to establish a resilient operational technology (OT) edge network that will transition legacy analog services to a modern platform and facilitate high-speed protective relaying, SCADA, and video traffic across three critical substation nodes.
The solution must include support for virtual synchronous networking, efficient traffic segregation, and robust protocol capabilities. The network system should be able to operate both as a time-division multiplexing and Ethernet multiplexer, addressing the diverse communication needs of the substations.
