A government agency located in Marin, California is seeking a qualified vendor to provide scheduled drydocking and capital improvement services for its marine vessels. The contractor will be responsible for performing all necessary material or equipment changes, ensuring that any modifications which may impact system design are approved in advance by the Owner’s Design Agent. Changes to equipment locations must also receive prior approval from the agency’s Representative, especially when dictated by onboard conditions or foundation requirements.
The scope of work includes alterations to tonnage frames below the main deck, modifications to existing tonnage openings and associated hardware, installation of permanent structures within 30 inches of a tonnage opening, alterations to the bilge system serving ballast tanks, and adjustments or additions to pipe or cable penetrations through ballast tank boundaries. Anything omitted from the plans yet necessary for a complete vessel must be supplied under this contract. All work is to be executed under the supervision and to the satisfaction of the agency and its Representatives, adhering to professional marine standards. The contract will span one year, with key dates for the pre-bid meeting and question submissions preceding the final proposal deadline.
