The State of California is seeking a strategic partner to lead a comprehensive transformation of its existing SAP systems. The selected vendor will oversee the migration of current SAP ECC, CRM, and other on-premise platforms to the latest version, RISE with SAP. This project encompasses a full-scale transition, integrating key systems such as ECC, CRM, and BW, and places significant emphasis on effective change management and staff training to ensure a smooth adoption process.

The initiative is structured in two distinct phases, focusing on critical operational areas including financials and asset management. Phase 2 will commence only after the successful completion of Phase 1, and proposers are required to submit detailed proposals for both phases, including individual approaches, timelines, and cost estimates. Major requirements include seamless integration with third-party systems, robust data management strategies, and comprehensive testing to ensure system readiness.

Key project components also include the implementation of full Cash Management capabilities, deployment of the SAP Datasphere for data warehousing, and the establishment of advanced reporting and analytics utilizing Power BI, Fiori App/Embedded Analytics, SAP Analytics Cloud with Microsoft Office, and standard SAP Analytics Cloud business content. Additionally, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning will be implemented to replace the legacy SAP BPC Solution. Stakeholders are expected to provide suitable staffing to meet project demands, collaborate on engagement plans, and support the rigorous testing framework established for this transformation.
