The contracting authority in Ireland is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive Sales and Distribution (S&D) platform that will serve as a central component of its ticketing sales and distribution strategy. The new system must be capable of integrating with existing systems and platforms through industry-standard interface techniques to ensure the continuity of key functions.
The solution must include a user portal for journey planning, with seamless integration to the current journey planner, and a customer profile/account portal featuring extensive self-service capabilities. Additionally, the platform should offer robust revenue management features, such as real-time or near real-time data on passenger loads and pricing with the flexibility to adjust rates by route, service, and date.
Other essential functionalities include ticket and ancillary product sales, supporting ticket search, comparison, purchase, and both allocated and unallocated reservations with rules-based seat assignments. The platform should accommodate both manual and automated seat allocation for different ticket types, services, routes, and multi-leg journeys. The initial contract term is for one year. All vendor questions must be submitted by May 1, 2026.
Best-fit vendors:
• Experience developing large-scale sales and distribution platforms for the transportation or ticketing sector
• Expertise in industry-standard system integration techniques
• Demonstrated ability to implement customer self-service portals and real-time revenue management functions
• Track record of complex transit or journey planner integrations
• Capable of supporting a one-year initial contract with potential for ongoing support
