A construction project is planned for the full removal and replacement of the Rosebud Lift Station, located at 1319 Soldier Creek Road, Rosebud, SD. The project aims to increase wastewater capacity and upgrade equipment to better serve the Rosebud complex, which includes hospital quarters and multiple tribal program buildings. The current lift station, operational since the early 1990s, is no longer adequate due to ongoing expansion including additional housing units and program facilities.
The scope of work includes demolishing the existing lift station, consisting of the wet well, dry well, pumps, and piping, after the new facility becomes operational. The new lift station will feature an enlarged wet well for greater capacity, a new dry well, installation of advanced chopper pumps to handle challenging wastewater contents, and a force main connection. Additionally, the project will install a modern control system, enabling real-time monitoring of flow and equipment status. Construction is expected to be completed within 120 calendar days under a firm fixed-price contract, with the total project value estimated between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Provisions related to the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) will apply as outlined in Section H.50.
