A New Jersey agency is seeking a vendor to provide an AI-powered road and asset management software solution. The software must be capable of performing rapid, objective condition assessments of pavement surfaces, leveraging artificial intelligence for automated visual documentation and identification of roadway and asset damage. In addition to roads, the system should support automated cataloging of agency assets such as manholes, street signs, and catch basins.
The software should deliver actionable recommendations for prioritizing road improvements, and support manual data collection and seamless export of information as needed. It must feature full customization capabilities and be interoperable with the agency’s existing software systems. Access to the solution should be provided via both native mobile applications and web-based platforms.
The mobile application should enable agency staff to collect pavement and asset data using only a mobile device, utilizing the phone’s camera for photographing the right-of-way from within municipal vehicles. Each image should be automatically logged with an identification number, GPS coordinates, date, and time. The AI components of the platform are expected to identify, classify, and assess the severity of roadway surface damage through image recognition, streamlining asset management and maintenance decision-making.
