Vendor needs to provide geotechnical field and laboratory services in support of ongoing missions within the District's area of operations to the government authority located in Galveston, TX.

A. Field Exploration Services

• Perform subsurface exploration through soil and/or rock borings at locations, depths, and quantities specified by the Government. This exploration may occur on land or in water, as directed.

• For waterborne exploration, the contractor must be capable of utilizing specialized drilling methods, such as marine drilling rigs, barges, or other appropriate water–based equipment, to perform drilling in aquatic environments (e.g., lakes, rivers, coastal areas).

B. Laboratory Testing Services

• Perform laboratory testing on collected samples in accordance with ASTM standards or other Government–specified test methods.

• Typical laboratory tests may include, but are not limited to:

o Moisture content

o Atterberg limits

o Grain size analysis

o Unconfined compressive strength

o Compaction testing
