Deadline:

Summary:
Request for information for retrofitting fire alarm notification systems and software across multiple buildings in California, including hardware and software integration and compliance with security standards.
(1) Vendor needs to provide RFI for fire alarm notification and software retrofit services. – Retrofit the 8 buildings for a workaround to communicate to a newer software system. – Retrofit a few other additional buildings to communicate to the new system (these systems currently speak to SIMS, but may require additional retrofitting to speak to a more modern system) – Convert the existing, most modern buildings from SIMS to the new system which they should be readily compatible with. – Identify a replacement for the Simplex consoles radio receiver portion. (The Simplex system monitors fire alarms in addition to listening to nearby agency radio traffic. If we get rid of Simplex, we'd need a new tool to monitor/listen to nearby radio traffic) – Identify a sustainable singular software platform that can support all types of alarm monitoring OR identify a 3rd party monitoring service that can support all types of alarms. – Capable of displaying real–time data for equipment status, active alarms, and performance metrics. – Design and provision of both hardware and software installation, with functionality to generate and transmit key alarms to Facilities Operations staff in compliance with transmission customer requirements. – Automatic identification and reporting of faults or irregularities within the system or distribution network. – Ability to collaborate and be solution–oriented while working in a diverse multi–trade, multi–functional environment. – A single, intuitive, and user–friendly software solution supporting both on–site and remote monitoring capabilities. – Compliance with current industry standards for secure communication, data encryption, user access management, logging, and alerting. (2) All the questions must be submitted no later than January 23, 2026.
