The City of Ontario is seeking information and feedback from industry vendors regarding a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) System. The aim is to gather insights on key features and functionalities to be considered, help establish an appropriate budget, define functional requirements for a forthcoming procurement process, and determine the staffing resources required for successful system implementation.
The desired FP&A system should facilitate improved access to timely, accurate, and consolidated financial information, supporting transparency, accountability, and informed decision-making throughout the organization. It should also enable coordinated management of Capital, Operating, and Personnel budgets within a unified planning framework. The system is expected to standardize planning processes, reporting structures, and data definitions, while also accommodating a range of departmental needs and supporting exception or deviation reporting.
Best-fit vendors:
• Providers or developers of advanced financial planning and analysis software
• Experience working with municipal or large public sector clients
• Expertise in unified budget management systems
• Ability to provide guidance on best practices, implementation planning, and system integration
