The State of Michigan is seeking information from qualified vendors regarding enterprise cloud storage solutions that are secure, scalable, and cost-effective. The solution must be authorized to operate at Department of Defense Impact Level 5 (DoD IL5), ensuring it is capable of handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in compliance with stringent security guidelines.

Initial storage needs are set at 25 Terabytes (TB) with the expectation of scalability to accommodate future data growth. High availability and data durability are essential, and respondents are asked to describe support for redundancy models such as Locally–Redundant Storage (LRS) and Read–Access Geo–Redundant Storage (RA–GRS) or comparable alternatives.

Secure access controls are required, with a preference for Common Access Card (CAC) authentication. If CAC is not supported, vendors should outline other secure authentication options such as security keys or multi-factor authentication. Information regarding cost structures for data ingress and egress is requested, with particular interest in solutions featuring fixed-rate pricing and no variable egress fees. The solution should also support modern data access protocols, including HTTPS, REST APIs, command line interfaces such as AWS CLI, and desktop clients like Azure Storage Explorer.

Additional functional requirements include data versioning, automated backups with customizable schedules and retention, as well as comprehensive user account management. The anticipated contract period is one year.
