Potential solutions should offer a range of payment options, including on-site kiosks, pay stations, and automated gates, as well as mobile payment platforms and digital permit management. Integration capabilities are required for license plate recognition (LPR) or QR code scanning, and the system should support seasonal pass management.

Additional requirements include real-time revenue tracking and analytics, integration with municipal finance or enforcement systems, and robust protocols for data security, encryption, and user privacy. Vendors should also address their capabilities in both cloud-based and on-premises hosting, system reliability, access controls, uptime guarantees, and support service level agreements (SLAs).
