Retinal Camera, All-in-One PC, and Imaging Software for Northport VAMC

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 02 Network Contracting Office, has issued a sources sought notice to identify qualified vendors capable of providing one retinal camera, an all-in-one PC, and associated imaging software for the Northport VA Medical Center. This notice is for market research and acquisition planning only and does not constitute a solicitation or contract opportunity.

The requested system must meet applicable IT security requirements and integrate with VistA Imaging to transfer captured images into patient records. The equipment must support red-free photography, fundus autofluorescence (FAF), and non-mydriatic image capture, with preferences for features such as Spaide FAF filters, automatic small-pupil detection, auto focus, auto capture, low flash intensity, stereo photography support, an external fixation pointer, and mosaic image assembly. The system must also be capable of fluorescein angiography and is described as a robotic, non-mydriatic color fundus camera with slit-scan technology, a 12-megapixel sensor, and ambient-light imaging.

The VA is seeking information from manufacturers, distributors, and other qualified sources, including details on business size and socioeconomic status, ability to provide the required equipment or equivalent solutions, use of subcontractors, and relevant contract vehicles such as GSA Federal Supply Schedule availability. The VA has indicated a preference for domestic items manufactured in the United States.
