DESCRIPTION

A government authority in Washington is seeking information from vendors capable of providing comprehensive construction services for a large-scale waste storage infrastructure project. Scope of work includes site preparation involving vertical, shored excavation of a vault estimated at 60’ x 40’ and 50 feet deep for the installation of a below-grade steel waste storage tank. The project also entails constructing retaining walls, formwork, rebar installation, and concrete pouring and curing.

Additional requirements include excavation and installation of electrical infrastructure, fabrication and installation of electrical connections, as well as constructing and placing concrete for various process equipment, a chiller unit, exhaust unit, loadout station, and walkways. The scope covers installation of a concrete vault with a thickness of 3.5 feet, significant tank farm excavation near existing utilities, and the construction of a storage pad for spent ion exchange columns. Road and parking lot paving, including striping, parking blocks, and signage, as well as procurement, construction, and installation of prefabricated buildings and instrument enclosures, are also included.

This is an RFI intended to identify vendors with the necessary expertise and capability to fulfill these large-scale construction requirements. Participating vendors should demonstrate prior experience with similar infrastructure projects, especially those involving complex excavation near existing utilities and hazardous materials containment.
