The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids for water conservation landscape services at the Redwood City Area Office located at 355 Convention Way, Redwood City, CA 94063. The scope of work includes removing approximately 24,025 sq. ft. of existing turf grass, dead plants, small trees, and weeds, and replacing them with a water-tolerant landscape, including a commercial-grade drip irrigation system, decomposed granite areas, mulch, and drought-resistant plants. The contract term is anticipated to be from November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2027.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must hold a valid California State License Board C-27 Landscaping Contractor license
  • Must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to California Labor Code Sections 1770, 1773 and 1773.1
  • Must attend the mandatory site walk-through on October 14, 2026
  • Must meet the minimum 5% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation requirement
  • Must provide a Payment Bond equal to 100 percent of the value of the Agreement
  • Must provide proof of liability insurance meeting Exhibit E requirements
  • Personnel assigned to the contract are subject to a driver license and fingerprint check
  • Corporations must be in good standing and qualified to conduct business in California
