The new platform will support a wide range of functionalities, including permitting with electronic application intake, review, routing, and approval workflows. It will also facilitate digital plan submittals, provide markup tools, and enable collaboration among multiple reviewers for plan review processes.

The solution must include a citizen self-service portal allowing public users to submit applications, track permits and licenses, schedule inspections, and make payments online. Workflow automation with configurable rules, integration with the city’s document management system, and robust reporting and analytics for performance metrics and regulatory compliance are also required.
