DESCRIPTION


A government authority in California requires a provider to deliver comprehensive real asset valuation management services. The selected Vendor will oversee the management and oversight of annual appraisals and quarterly valuations, in addition to providing expert consulting services related to the Real Assets Portfolio.

The Valuation Management Company (VMC) will be responsible for managing the agency's annual appraisal and quarterly valuation processes, engaging independent third-party appraisers and reviewing their appraisals, and reviewing quarterly valuations from the agency’s Real Assets external managers. Duties also include providing interim quarterly valuations for specific assets, ensuring compliance with ASC 820, keeping current with industry best practices, evaluating internal valuation practices of appraisal firms, and providing expertise in valuing entity level interests as well as the agency’s interests in separate accounts, commingled funds, and varied business structures.
